Q1. What is AirMove Urban?

AirMove Urban is a lifestyle brand founded in 2022 by an architect. We design for a weightless urban living experience — rooted in architectural thinking and an environmental philosophy. Arch Origami gives our shoes their form; dual lightness gives them their feel: lighter on feet, lighter on earth. We founded the brand to turn that vision into a real urban experience.

Q3. What is it made of?

We choose our main materials by one standard: light on the feet, light on the earth. The Tyvek® upper: a paper-class membrane born behind building façades — paper-light yet tough. The nylon upper: light and durable, held to the same standard. Inside, a linen-wool lining of natural fibres. Underfoot, cork with OrthoLite® cushioning that moulds to your foot over time.

Q4. Is the upper really paper? Will it tear?

For Tyv, the upper is a special paper, made with industrial-grade technology. DuPont™ Tyvek® is high-density polyethylene, flash-spun into a membrane. Tough, water-resistant and breathable — paper-light, but engineered to last. It keeps one of paper's habits: creases form naturally with your stride — traces of walking that are yours alone. Completely normal, not a defect.

Q5. Is it waterproof?

It's designed for everyday life, so splashes are no problem. The Arch Origami folds leave small gaps between the triangular panels so the shoe can breathe. A brief shower is fine; in sustained rain, the same gaps let water in. Our advice: not for heavy-rain days.

Q6. Will it rub or blister?

Designed for comfort with no break-in: wool and linen against the foot, suede at the heel and collar. Soft from the first step.

Q7. How long will a pair last?

It's designed for daily city walking. How long a pair lasts depends on how often and how hard you wear it — and on how you care for it. Under everyday urban use, it holds up well.

Q8. Can I wear them for sports — running, hiking, the gym?

It is urban walking footwear, designed for everyday city life — and the everyday is yours to create. We draw the line at specialised sport: running, trail, hiking and high-intensity training are better served by purpose-built footwear. Light movement is welcome: yoga, walks, light strength work. One silhouette, every scene — as long as the scene is everyday.

Q9. What makes AirMove Urban shoes so light?

A pair weighs 160 grams — about three eggs — even with a rubber sole. Lightness was the design's first aim: a shoe that moves like air through the urban grid. It's also where the name comes from — AirMove Urban.

Q10. What is Arch Origami?

Arch Origami is our name for how the upper is made. Born from an architect's view of walking form, the upper is broken into triangles, rebuilt as a modular framework, and folded into place like origami — thirty-six pieces in all: twenty-eight triangular panels and eight of leather, assembled almost entirely by hand. The sewing machine is the only machine that touches them.

Q11. How do I clean my AirMove Urban shoes?

Day to day, wipe with a soft damp cloth. For spots, use a lightly damp cloth with a small amount of mild detergent. Never machine-wash, soak or tumble-dry them. To ease creases, iron over a cloth at low temperature (below 80°C). Let the footbed air out now and then. Store away from direct sun — a cool, dry spot is all they ask.

Q12. Do AirMove Urban shoes run true to size?

They run true to size — take your usual size. The range is women's EU 36–39 and men's EU 40–43, in full sizes only. Our size chart gives the full conversion (US, UK, JP, CN) plus foot length and instep girth for every size. The shoe wraps snugly, with stretch engineered at the instep; if your instep is high or your foot is full, check the instep girth column — beyond the range, go up one size.

Q13. I have wide feet — will these work?

They're built on our own wide lasts, shaped for comfort and made to fit a wide range of feet. Wide feet are normally no problem, and there's no need to size up: take your usual size. If you can, try them on; your feet will tell you.

Q15. Is there a warranty?

Every pair is covered. Warranty service is handled by the store you bought from, under local consumer regulations. Your statutory rights are not affected.
